- In other words in you put up "N120ZA" as the format, it will only look for reg's that are from "N120ZA" to "N120ZZ" (does not go to 121). But if you put "N120AA" it will look all combinations from "N120AA" to "N120ZZ" (ie. ab, ac, ad, ..az, ba, bb, bc ..)
- So in other words the auto-reg will only attempt to change the last two letters/digits of the reg. when searching for an open slot.
- To make it work properly please use low letters or numbers in the settings page as the format; otherwise the system will have only limited choices and may fail to work.

For American registrations, isn't it the number that differs? For example, American Airlines has a lot of N000AA regs, to name a few 767s: N328AA, N329AA, N330AA, ...N338AA, etc.

you can essentially register for what is not currently used.
