[ok] Registration numbers

While this may be fun for some, is there any way we can do away with them?  Or perhaps allow us to turn the feature off?  I find them to be basically useless to me and more of an annoyance.

NorgeFly:
I am for keeping them... or at least the option to keep them. I use the registrations to organise my fleet so that I can tell at a glance where the aircraft is based and/or which variant of an aircraft type it is.

Maarten Otto:
Why not atomise it.

You order your first AC and you give the first registration like G-AAAA. The second aircraft of the same type, at the same base will automatically get G-AAAB, G-AAAC and so on. After the 26th you get G-AABA, AABB, AABC..... ABAA, ABBB,ABBC

Other fleets of the same type at other bases will get G-BAAA, G-BAAB, G-BAAC.......

just a thought....

DaveP1991:
I use them to tell me many things about an aircraft at a glance.

Some of mine at the moment.

G-WHBA is a HS748 Srs2 based in Bristol.
G-WHSA is a HS748 Srs2 based in Stansted.
G-WTCA is a Trident 1C based in Cardiff
G-WTBA as above but in Bristol.
G-WBSA is a 720B in Stansted.

It makes arranging fleets much easier IMO.

swiftus27:
sure, then what happens when you have 27 of that a/c in one place?
