Replacement for IL-14P
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:07:16 AM »
I'm starting to plan what aircraft I should replace my IL-14P's once they are old and I have more money to spare.
The Yak-40 looks good as yes it burns alot of fuel compared to the IL's but it is in the same size class and is perfect for those routes.
The only other aircraft, The Antonov An-26 is too large for my needs and in the wrong aircraft size class.
Anyone know if any other soviet props become available +/- 5 game years from now that I could consider to fly over sectors roughly 300nm with 20-30Y seats?

Have you checked the "compare aircraft" page in your Modern Times #2 game? There should be russian props out of the 60s included.

yeah, I had a brief look but its tricky when you dont know what exactly you're looking for other than 'small' aircraft of soviet origin.

Looks like the Yak 40 or Let 410 are my only real options for a small aircraft.

For soviet origin. Antonov 28 comes in in about 5 years or very early 70s.

yeah, I had a look at that but it's a bit slow for my needs unfortunately. I dont really want to mess around with my schedules too much.
Just like the Tu-134 would make a great replacement for my Tu-124's as it is 4 extra seats and double the range (Tu-124= 56Y, Tu-134=60Y) but as the 134 for some reason classes as Large, its probably not an option
