Training Costs Calculation?

Does anyone know how staff training costs are calculated? I went from 4 737s and 4 747s with training costs of $148K a week, once I added an L1011 my costs more than doubled to $368K a week. Just curious as to how this is calculated, as adding one type doesn't seem like it should double my costs.

It's not as easy function to describe as it has a lot of variables.  It can vary a bit, but, to be on the safe side, bet on all existing expenses going up by 100% for every type you add that way you'll only end up better off if its less than that.  4th type is supposed to be considerably higher than that but I never go that high to see just what it is.
