Extreme cost for slots?
« on: June 13, 2010, 10:13:04 PM »
I am a newly started company with 3 planes, before I payed 98.000 - 200.000 averagely in navigation fees.
I ordered now a new plane, setted up 3 new routes for it and then my new weekly payment for slots is over 900.000. Isn't this just a bit too high?
I can't even afford it, I am now -200.00 I lost 900.000 just for opening 3 routes which aren't even operating yet.

There is no way I can earn those money back for so high weekly costs, especially as a new company which already got hard competition since most aiports are full of airlines and slots are few.

Is it a mistake or is this just how the price should be?
Another thing, can I get my money back if I release the slot? I think 900.000 is better spend on new planes  :o

Hope someone got the answers and can help me out of this situation, else im blinking minus red here  :-\

Here's my red statement.

Slots are not weekly payments, they are one-time.

Well, there is a weekly payment too, but it's tiny compared to the cost to setup the route.

The 900,000 is cost for opening new route. You only pay that when you create new route.
