Sort of beginner tip, but worth repeating: Please check your route prices. While browsing the airline data I noticed several airlines that try to charge overly high prices on routes, and are getting minimal sales as a result. To clarify: This is NOT a bug, or a fault in the system. Since your airline is new, it has no reputation, and it not known by people - thus you must "lure" the passengers onboard with lower prices.
So setting the prices to something around +15% of the system's suggested value will just not work if your airline is new. However later, with high image levels, it may just work out.

Please remember that hogging the airport slots is forbidden in the rules (http://www.airwaysim.com/game/Manual/General/Rules/). You may not for example lease a large bunch of very small aircraft and put them to high demand routes when the clear intention is just to get and reserve the slots for later use. Any suspicions of misuse should be reported to admin.
