Setting up bases
« on: April 30, 2010, 04:22:44 AM »
Hey guys. The other day Sami mentioned something about if you're in Europe, you can set up bases anywhere within the EU. So that's like your HQ is at LHR, you can set up base at CDG. Does that apply to elsewhere too? Like if you're in SE Asia, you can open anywhere within ASEAN countries? Or is it limited within your respective country? My HQ is in Tokyo Haneda.

I believe that the EU is the only region where you can open bases in other countries.  You and I are stuck with Japan  ;D

yes and no for your question.

Yes- you can open anywhere in EU region if ur HQ is based in Europe.
NO- you cannot open a base in CDG or any of the top 20 airports in the world. When it comes to EU, may be top ten. On the  X list are CDG, AMS, FRA, MAD, LGW( not sure on the other ones). Some other players or Sami may be able to give exact airports on the X list.

I'd have to go back and count, but if it's based on the passenger percentage level, I'm not sure if LGW actually makes it into the top 20 worldwide.

Remembering from Beta, you can create a base in EWR and below on the airport list.

No idea about the rest of the world.
