just keeping everything full price and letting it grow the way it grows? Just trying decide which might be better to do for a little while. Watching fuel prices too. ???

I have been flying most routes at standard prices. I fly a few routes with 10% discounts where I am in with heavy competition, but don't plan on doing that for too long.

I always just start out -20%, then slowly raise the prices to the maximum.

Of course when there's a lot of competition, you can't price to the maximum.

When there are no special circumstances, like huge competition with more total capacity then demand, I usually adjust my prices according to loadfactor. If loadfactor gets too low, I drop my prices 5-15%, if it gets too high (usually more then 90%), I raise them by 5-15%. I usually check all my routes every couple (real) days.

If there's something special about the route, for example overcapacity or something like that, I tend to go for 10-15% below standard pricing and leave it there.

If I can't get decent LFs, I usually dismiss the route in the long run.

I always lower the prices when opening new routes.
For example if the route's standard price is 137$ and there's no competition I will make it 130$, but if there is competition I'll make it 120$ or so. And of course when the load factor goes up, so does the price.

Does anyone especially watch fuel prices when working with your fare pricing? I mean, I know we all look at fuel, but how does that affect how you price your routes? Or does it? By the way, thanks for all the advice so far! This game is really different to me and also kinda slow, so I have a tendency to jump the gun!

Hmm, when the fuel price goes up the fares go up, too. Don't want to lose money  :)

But always crosscheck with the competition on every route.
