That's what I'm seeing too...thinking I'm going to save myself the headache and cancel my night routes for now, even though it means reducing pax load (though, not by much LOL)

it is over all the same for me: Japan domestics airports usually closed at 2100-2200 until next morning ;)

but I'm thinking about is this ok for long haul flight, which is more common to be flight at late night and should be better

Yeah, that's a problem with the model still.  If you make it just under midnight, the demand doesn't change. But make if you scheduled that flight just 5 minutes later and you'd be screwed.

Same as if you get a 5:00am slot or a 4:55am slot.

It's a 5 hours very hard mode then. Thx for the info.

I like this, it's more real!

Plus, this makes airports closed during night more attractive...

On other hand, slot are gonna be taken very very soon.

I experienced the same.  The load factor on a night flight I tried was zero.  I expected low demand with the new rules but not zero.  :(  I think this needs to change and made less strict.

I think this should be changed from 1:00 to 5:00 because there about 50 flights that leave from the West Coast between the time frame of 0:00 and 1:00 mostly going to the midwest trying to land by the early morning. For example American Airlines run flights from LAX, SEA, and SFO to name a few to DFW departing in the time from 0:00 and 1:15 to DFW and they all arrive around the time frame of 5:00 to 6:00 and I know they are full flights since I have taken quite a few trying to make early morning connections in DFW. At the least the time frame should be pushed back by an hour so it becomes a 1:00 to 5:00 no departure demand zone.

Now that we are unable to fly at night i think we should pay our personal hourly now that we are unable to work them all hours of the day.

Agreed, this still needs to be adjusted. Sure demand drops at night but not stops.

You can get pax at night.  They just won't pay anywhere near as much - you just have to slash the prices down.  Everybody's CI and RI are very low now too, so I suspect once this rises it will be easier to get a few more.  I know I'd never fly on an airline I'd never heard of, in older aircraft in the middle of the night  ;)

Usually I don't have to pay them because they are working 24/7 however since I am not fly any flights at night they have five hours of freedom. With this new found freedom they want money so they can do frivolous things like visit family, get married, and be happy. :P
MOL is my idol btw.  ;D

Is this confirmed because I am trying to run some flights in the Middle East between 0100 and 0500 and the demand is really low and if anything, this is the busiest time for flights in the Middle East.  The flight is between India and the Gulf.  Could it be that this is not considered long haul?

Any information would be greatly appreciated...
