5. New York JFK - 8
=  Bangkok - 8
7. Los Angeles - 7
=  Paris CDG - 7
=  Singapore - 7
=  Dallas Fort Worth - 7

 I think we should already congratulate whoever makes it out of SIN alive.  With only 1 tiny other airport in Singapore and huge inbound traffic it'll be more than tough.

Far too much players allowed in this version if you ask me... It would have been a better idea to start two parallel game with 250 each...

There are some 1000+ airlines in the world so 500 is on the low side. But naturally the number of players is a thing that can be used to adjust the difficulty level too. But this situation is very good since there are many airlines so the initial growth rates will be slower and thus more realistic!

very good point, But i was looking more at 350. 500 is gonna be way too much Sami, I know what ur saying and makes a valid point, but still 500 with some nutters here is too much (oops ) :)

well the 500 players are gona die off pretty quickly, when the next 1.2 comes out id say quite a few peopel may go there. MT1 had 400 or somthing, but diesd down to around 250

Anyway, I think, 250 players world with same setting (whole world, 1986-2015 years) would be better...

that also means you can open a new world later because players will left TMT2 later? :P

just joking, but it looks like we have 2 world's players come together......
(but I saw an old face in TMT1 with me this time ;) )

I'll only stay in the game till another world starts (don't like 1986-2010), so there are only six real airlines at LAX  ;)

I love it folks! And besides, before judging the whole game setup: The game has not even started yet, and it includes a totally different level-playing-field for everybody, which means you should not derive experiences from other games, especially, as this one has not commenced yet. So let's wait and see and let's enjoy this big competition and new setup - for many, the recipe for success in the 1.1 version was already getting a little too tired...

This is the product of allowing 500 airlines in the game.

Just imagine how out of control it will be when there are hubs opening up!  That will effectively double the number of based airlines.

I am just hoping that 65% LFs are as profitable as they are in other games.

this was concern too, in real life not all airlines have dual base or more, Only big well established ones. But here as swiftus27 said 500 will become 1000, as all will want to start a  base. calm before the storm.

I think it is funny too!!! 500 playes, while many large airport are congested now. That's the real competition, and some of them will die quickly.....!

I'm also interest to see how those 7 airlines in SIN survive!!!  ;D

raportova, thats not the only or even the main reason. some players like to play for their "home town" as is my case.

Exactly why I keep playing at KMSP/MSP.  I live here.

This time around, I've got three competitors at the start (four airlines total), which is unprecedented from my experience so far.

'course, I know the market well, have dominated the airport three times over now, and I have a strategy that has yet to fail me.  The multi-leg restriction isn't going to hurt me like some others around here, I'd wager - adding flights in that manner was always "frosting on the cake" for me.  I'm looking forward to adding additional hubs, eventually.

Good luck, everyone.  ;D
