[-] v1.2 Central American hubs
Monk Xion:
I think there are some minor hub issues to be worked out.
This is about Central America. Haven't had time to see if this was true but w/e. In Central America, TACA and Copa operate multiple hubs through out the region (Managua, Nicaragua ; Guatemala City, San Jose de Costa Rica, Panama City... Etc etc).
Even though TACA and Copa are based in El Salvador and Panama, respectedly, they have hubs in other countries through out Central America. Idk the official name of this but I am not making this up.
Sami, if you made it so airlines could have a base anywhere in Central America instead of just one Central American country, it would be great.
Just some thoughts right now
Seattle:
I was just thinking of this. Taca has hubs in San Salvador, San Jose, and Lima. All I can think for Copa is Panama City, but they may have other ones.
However, each fly many non-hub routes, but those route are within significant cities in Latin America. For example, They might flight San Salvador - Guatamala City- Managua - San Jose or San Jose - Tegulcigalpa - Cancun, etc.
sami:
Can't be done without some "real" facts about this.
One airline basing in 2 (or 3?) countries may be just a multilateral agreement between the two countries and those can't be modeled yet.

I think its under the CAFTA agreement. Its under the Central American Intergration System agreement (SICA). I'm not sure. But its not just 2-3 countries its all of Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize (?) , Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama)

Copa runs flights from Managua to the other Central American capitals. I saw their flight schedules when I was down in Nicaragua.
