One city, two or more airports - One airline from all those airports
BizFlyer:
Hallo,
I am still a newbee in this game, but I found one thing, which I donīt think is realistic.
Observation:
There are two airports in Istanbul.
The same airline flies from both airports to Hamburg.
I have never seen this happen in real life.
Another example would be the numerous airports of London.
I have difficulties accepting, that one airline targets the same destination from all London airports.
Any opinions on that from the other players as well as the "Brains" of this formidable game?
Best regards,
BizFlyer
Kontio:
The game currently considers passenger demand only by airport. The fact that some airports serve the same city does not figure into this and flying to all airports in London from your hub is perfectly logical from the game point of view as it works currently. City-wide demand is planned, which would make the game much more realistic in this regard.

Potentially very exciting developments for the long term future involving town/city based demand, whereby the demand is self generating.

This does happen in real life occasionally. JetBlue flies to JFK, LaGuardia, White Plains, and I think Newark from KMCO in Orlando.
