[ok] Refund instead of additional payment when changing config of ordered plane
(1/1)
tofen:
If you order a new aircraft and then changes the config to a more expensive one (higher MTOW or better engines) you sometimes gets a refund for doing so, instead of paying extra.
So you basically get a better plane for less money than you originally paid.
I took a few screen shots for you. In the first one you can see that they plane has standard MTOW (It's the A340 on top). In the second you can see that I changed to +3.5t and get a refund of some 1,1m now and have to pay 1,6m less on delivery. (the pictures are clickable for higher res)
Sorry if I ruined someones way of saving a few bucks by reporting this. ;)

Actually this is not a bug of the ordering system, but rather related to the dynamic pricing of aircraft.
When you ordered the plane you paid a price $100 for example ... Then the plane won't sell and they lower the list price to $90. After that you edit the order and the edit cost recalculation is actually based on the current list price (as all the price data is not stored with each order), and the prices/discounts/refunds etc are quite hardly calculated backway through to get the final sum to be paid or refunded. And since the new listprice is lower you're getting the discount here... Have to see what could be done to this.
I guess ... ??

I actually don't think so, since the edit is right after i placed the order.
I double checked it just a few minutes ago when I placed a new order for some B735s and it's the same there.
Strange thing though is that I ordered them with a MTOW one step above standard, and I get the same amounts refunded when raising another step as if I lover to standard.
Didn't take any screens, so I can show you, sorry.
Oh, by the way, it only works one time. If you change it ones and get a refund, you have to pay to make another change.

aa ok, see it myself too now.
Powi:
As I suggested earlier in IRC:
Calculate the current difference of price between before and after change models. Then charge/refund that to the player. Would work better imho.
