Updates to Terms of Service
« on: December 30, 2009, 07:21:49 PM »
The Terms of Service has been updated today with a new rule about inactive user accounts:

"Inactive accounts. The administration closes inactive user accounts on regular intervals. Accounts that have been inactive (no logins / usage) over 270 days are subject to closure without notice. Any game Credits remaining on these accounts are lost if the account is closed due to inactivity."

Also a chapter about Game Credits has been added:

"Definition. AirwaySim Game Credits are needed to participate in the AirwaySim game worlds. The website also offers a free demo game world that does not require Credits; but demo can be played only once per player. Each game world requires a certain amount of Credits to join and/or to play - please see the game area and manual for more details. Credits can be purchased using major credit cards or PayPal.

Expiration. Credits on user accounts do not expire. However inactive user accounts are subject to closure by the administration if they have been inactive for more than 270 days. Any Credits on these accounts are lost if the account is closed due to inactivity.

Transfers. Credits can not be transferred to another user account.

Fees. There are no payment or delivery fees added to your account or to your purchases. The sums shown on Credit purchase pages are the full and final sums."

And to add as a comment, in case of questions, the purpose of the account inactivity rule is to simply keep the membership database 'clean'. We don't wish to have 40 000 accounts in the database of which only 10 000 are actively used. The 270-day inactivity rule has no effect on regular users of course.
