A route question.....
« on: November 15, 2009, 08:36:54 PM »
Is it worth flying an empty plane to a destination if there is an empty flight from that airport?

Lots of airlines in the games do it, including many of the largest ones.

How "worth it" it is, depends on how far you've got to fly empty and how profitable the second-leg will be.  It's, of course, never as profitable as if you could fill it up all-day-long, but that doesn't mean it can't be very profitable.

And it's a good way to use those really early-morning slots at your main hub -- depart flights to a nearby city just in time to depart at prime-time.
