Maintenance on aircrafts for sale

(1/1)

sajblue:
Hi folks

I've got an interesting quetion/challenge.

I've got a sole B737-500 for sale. The D-check has expired. I don't think anyone is interested in leasing the aircraft unless i make the D-check. But here's the catch: I've got no other B737s in my fleet. So if I decide to make the D-check, will my fixed costs skyrocket for the two months it takes to complete the check?

IMHO, yes. As planes not in sale are counted in to the fixed fleet costs.
