The thing is that the landing distance available is seldom the restriction at an airport. It is the take-off run available. USAF have flown C-5s into ENCN from KSAN, but returning they had to fly via ENZV simply because the runway at ENCN is too short to allow them to add much more than minimum fuel for about 2-300nm of flight (with reserves of course) and any cargo.

So if your A332 is able to stop with about 1650m of runway, that does not mean that you get any worthwile payload flying more than 1000nm on the return leg. If it's able to take off on such a runway with any passengers at all...

There's something fishy in the calculations so this report has been open for ages still. Checked it once but it's more complicated than I thought and not an easy fix. But there's a bug somewhere there yes. Most of the calc's are just fine but on some occasions comparison between models does not produce accurate results.
