Start operating a fleet of A320, B737NG or a more recent turboprop (ATR or Q400) and you won't need to worry  ;D

Um, why do manufacturers make more fuel efficient planes?  Pretty much the same reason.

The only plane I've ever had to give up flying due to high oil prices is the DC-8, and that was during the fuel crisis in Jet age 1. I'm flying a fleet of 30 Dc9's now in ATB 2, and they're flying cash cows.

Please note that I've never, ever operated Soviet/Russian metal.

edit: I miscounted my DC9's.

If i was you i'd start to plan for the future and find a very fuel efficient replacement for your DC9's. If this game even slightly follows ATB #1 fuel prices can reach $1200 in the 2000's. They won't be 'flying cash cows' then. You'll be better off burning them for fuel to heat your home  :P

I think that's the reality!!!  Try to remember last year in our real world (2008), the fuel price ran to a crazy level. Many airlines were forced to ground their B747-400, which is already considered a modern aircraft when compared to B747-200 or DC-x or .... !

That's why in this game, I never consider to use B747-100 / 200 / 300 or other classic aircraft, except B727 (due to the shortage of A320!) But I will definitely replace those old B727 with A320 soon.
