How to screw yourself over . . . without competition!
« on: August 09, 2009, 01:35:46 AM »
So, it's been a while since I played.  I did remember to turn off auto-staffing because it's too pricey (especially in the beginning).  It was late at night, I added a plane and some flights, called it good, and went to bed.

Unfortunately, I forgot that I must ALWAYS check my Office page after adding flights.

The next morning, I'm losing money and my reputation has sunk from 44 to 3!!!!!!   :o   :'(  I was  >:(

Oh my, can we PLEASE have a warning when you add flights/planes to go to the Personnel page to update staff.  Please!!!!

So, let's just say that I've completely ruined myself.  I don't know if I'll ever get back to where I was.  I'm so frustrated.   :(

Thanks for listening to my sob story.   :P

The feature request is here.

There is a warning after you lease/buy the planes. I think that should be enough? Also, I have it on automatic and I'm doing just great.

I'm talking about when you add flights/routes. You know, when you "Open new route" or "Create another route like this" and actually add it to an aircraft.  At that point, after you've added to your aircraft, there should be a warning (just a reminder, nothing more) that you "lack enough staff" or something like that.

Yes, I know you can put it on automatic, but it helps to save money without auto. Lots of people turn auto off. I'm talking about for those instances.

Yes, I am trying to "fight my way out" by going on an ad blitz.  My point is I'm hopelessly behind everyone else now because I forgot to add a few staff?  Just saying a friendly reminder would be nice.

I started 2 game months after everyone in the Beginner's thing lol. And I'm now earning more than a person who started when the game started at the same airport.

I understand there are people with different skill level. I'm talking about competing with people who have a clue about this game.  One little slip up, and you're experienced competition sails past you with a wave of the hand and a smile on their face.   :P

DTW.  I'm finally back to the Company Image I was before.  It only took a state and nationwide TV ad campaign for nearly 6 months (and almost making no profit in the process) to accomplish!

Why are you joining a world that is supposed to be for beginners only?

Can't of course disallow that .. but it's not the purpose.
